Our founder, Erika Lichter, RMT, MTI

Trained in her native Germany, Erika gained considerable expertise working at exclusive health clubs and spas. During this time, she also served as an exercise physiology consultant to a renowned endocrinologist. She has made Houston her home since 1978, where she continued her training in bodywork and massage therapy, and in 1981 obtained certification from the American Massage Therapy Association.

Erika’s extensive knowledge of various massage techniques ultimately led her to teach others the art and science of massage therapy and in 1986 became a licensed Massage Therapy Instructor registered in Texas. Continuing her educational pursuits in 1988, she traveled to China to study traditional Chinese medicine.

Erika’s own clients range from ballet dancers to athletes and from children to senior citizens desiring relief from muscular-skeletal dysfunctions and other painful conditions.
